Misc: Things to Consider When Buying Refurbished

Here are some things to consider when shopping for a refurbished battery:

Find out how warranty issues are handled, and any charges there are with it; And if they cover everything, and have a reliable product, (at least a 5 hour minimum load test of 80% or better capacity) Typically with our warranty, if a repair or replacement is needed, we arrange for the shipping of the battery back and forth, and our customer is responsible for half of that shipping charge. (the shipping, not the repair or replacement)

You might also ask if they have a discharge test for the battery you could see before purchasing. This should include battery model, serial number, and original age & brand of the battery if known.(at least a serial number this way you can be sure you get the same battery they show you a sheet for), and have a column for each hour it was tested. All the numbers should be in the 180’s and higher if it’s a strong battery. If they don’t have one, or are unable to share it, I would question why. We make all this available on request.

Hope this is helpful.
